Sharis in Drag Ride Vol 1

Drag-Ride (装甲機竜(ドラグライド), Doraguraido) are mechanical weapons excavated from the Ruins, which serve as the main weapon of the series. Users of Drag-Rides are called Drag-Knights.

Description[]

Drag-Rides are mechanical suits of armour that copy legendary dragons. They give their wearers the war potential of a thousand soldiers. A Drag-Ride is summoned by drawing its accompanying Sword Device. Drag-Rides are very expensive, so only knights and some influential people can possess them.[1]

There are three basic types of Drag-Ride: the flight-type Wyvern (飛翔機竜(ワイバーン), Waibān), which has high mobility; the land battle-type Wyrm (陸戦機竜(ワイアーム), Waiāmu), which is suited for close combat; and the special equipment-type Drake (特装機竜(ドレイク), Doreiku), which is equipped with various support functions.[1]

Divine Drag-Rides (神装機竜, Shinsō Kiryū) are a rare category of Drag-Rides possessing far greater power. Unlike normal Drag-Rides, each Divine Drag-Ride is unique. A Divine Drag-Ride has greater performance than normal Drag-Rides and also has a unique ability called a Divine Raiment and two unique and overpowerd weapon called Special Raiment . However, it also has higher consumption of spiritual and physical strength and greater difficulty of use, to the point that it is not unusual to die from using one. As a result, only extremely talented Drag-Knights are permitted to use them.[2] Because there is only one of each Divine Drag-Ride, they are highly coveted as symbols of a country's overall power.

Divine Drag-Ride also have similarities with the types of general purpose Drag-Ride. For instance, Yoruka Kirihime's Yato no Kami (a special equipment-type) has a radar system like a Drake. On the other hand, land battle-types such as Typhon and Leviathan can't Fly. The basic strength, equipment, and durability is reflected to EX-classed. EX-classed is as powerful as divine drag-ride but the special armaments and divine raiment give a favor for divine type (exception for special equipment type's special equipment like radar and camouflage is far stronger even compared to EX-drake). For instance, Yato no Kami is not very durable and powerful even for a divine drag-ride like a EX-drake but its camouflage is more powerful to be detected. However, Automata can detect her because they are designed to be able. [3]

History[]

The Drag-Rides were discovered in the Ruins over ten years before the present. Since then, their structure has hardly been well-documented. Due to the trends and the autocratic system of the Old Arcadia Empire, their use was mostly prohibited to women. Since the establishment of the New Kingdom Atismata with the coup d'état five years ago, it was proven that the compatibility aptitude of women with the Drag-Rides was far above that of men.[4]

Ex-Drag-Rides[]

They are considered to be the most powerful drag-riders with the exception of the divine, although a competing user can defeat a divine drag-ride with the help of an ex.

Custom Drag-Ride[]

Those Drag-Rides are unclassified, and only a competent engineer is able to give birth to a new type of Drag-Ride.

Basic Armaments[]

Breath Gun (息砲):a pressure gun that does not need to recharge

Dagger (機竜爪刃(ダガー)): Machine Dragon Claw Blades mainly used for throwing

Wiretail (竜尾綱線(ワイヤーテイル)):a whip rarely used as a main weapon

Scale Blade

Rare Weapon[]

These are very rare weapons found in the ruins. It has a power approaching that of special weapons but can be mounted on any Drag-Ride.
